Stone Burr Puzzle
This striking handmade puzzle is carved from banded onyx. Six interlocking pieces form a twelve-pointed star. When separated, they present a satisfying challenge: knot the stones together into a symmetrical "burr" shape. Once successfully assembled, the geometric formation creates a mysterious and evocative addition to any home's decor.
It is rare to see mechanical puzzles produced in semi-precious stone. The classic burr puzzle design is elevated to an object of art thanks to the captivating quality of the material. Each piece is carved from a metamorphic stone from the Arequipan Andes of Perú. The quartz-based mineral features striated patterns ranging from white to coffee in tone, so no two stones are exactly alike.
