This colorful interlocking puzzle was inspired by Tsugite, the Japanese tradition of crafting furniture without the use of nails, screws or glue. The Ito Puzzle features five different pieces of wood which must be packed into the rectangular box to fit perfectly flat. While this puzzle is appropriate for children, it may be more difficult than you expect.
Designed by Yoshiaki Ito, an award-winning Brooklyn-based designer and craftsman who creates sophisticated toys like Morphits and playful pieces of high-end furniture like the Yosegi Stools. Yoshi’s sensibility combines an experimental New York attitude with Japanese aesthetic traditions to produce objects that are both beautiful and surprising.
