Flip Clock

Designed in the Netherlands by Renée Vendrig, Flipping Out replaces the digital screen with a mechanical split-flap display, similar to the departure boards of old train stations. Physical cards rotate into position as each minute passes, producing a subtle click and a constantly changing graphic composition.

The wide, black-on-black form can stand on a desk or shelf, or mount directly to the wall. Large numerals make time legible from across the room.
