Tavern Puzzles® originated from reproductions of hand-forged artifacts that Dennis Sucilsky discovered during his research on architectural hardware. As a skilled blacksmith, Dennis utilized his expertise in iron-working and tool-making to produce these metal puzzles.
The earliest Tavern Puzzles® are based on centuries-old designs. New styles are regularly introduced, some as original designs and others as updated versions of classic puzzles.
The purpose of any puzzle is to provide a challenge, entertainment, and fun. Their collection offers all three, catering to different skill levels.
Tucker-Jones House, Inc. was established in 1975 as a family business owned and operated by Dennis and Donna Sucilsky. Dennis is a museum-trained, traditional blacksmith specializing in 18th and 19th-century architectural hardware. In 1980, he began producing metal puzzles, leading to the creation of the Tavern Puzzle® Collection, which includes both traditional and original designs.
