Overview
Ulla von Brandenburg Puzzle
Ulla von Brandenburg’s distinct visual language draws on the traditions and tropes of theatre, the stage and colour theory. Her work Das Was Ist (That Which Is) is a series of curtains with circular holes installed in the entrance to the Palais de Tokyo in Paris.
Reproducing this physical installation piece translates the work into a series of graphically flat circles with hard borders between juxtapositions of color that create multiple non concentric edge-like puzzle pieces during assembly.
