Sakura Mochi Puzzle Box
This small puzzle box looks good enough to eat. The tiny hidden compartment is concealed within the folds of the mochi—a traditional Japanese dessert that is often adorned with a pickled cherry blossom (sakura) leaf in springtime. All of the details of the design are crafted from wood.
Created by Akio Kamei, one of our all-time favorite puzzle designers, the Sakura Mochi Puzzle Box is imbued with both a mischievous sense of humor and a deep respect for tradition. Crafted by hand in the Hakone mountains of Japan.
