Overview

Morphits Hippo

This adorable wooden hippo is actually a playful little puzzle in disguise. The articulated limbs of the beechwood figure offer limitless possibilities for play, and expressive facial features give the hippo a ton of personality. He can stand playfully on shelves, keep books in place, and even be an easel for small objects. But when playtime is over, the real challenge begins.

Can you fold the hippo's limbs to fit back in the drawer and tuck him away for nap time? It may seem impossible at first, but with a specific series of maneuvers, the sprawling limbs of this wild animal can be wrangled into a neat geometric cuboid.

The new Morphits line of toys from Japanese/Brooklyn-based artist Yoshiaki Ito combines the best of a poseable figurine and a challenging packing puzzle, entertaining for kids and also engrossing for adults. We’re very happy to offer this excellent product from a talented, up-and-coming designer. Hippo will indeed have you scratching your head and then whooping with joy.
