This scientific display piece represents the nine planets of the solar system (including Pluto) using colorful gem stones. Each polished orb is carefully chosen to resemble the appearance of a specific astronomical body as seen in NASA satellite imagery.
The sleek aluminum base holds the nine spheres in place. Mercury is represented by Labradorite, Venus is Nephrite Jade, Earth is Sodalite, Mars is Mahogany Obsidian, Jupiter is Tiger Eye, Saturn is Calcite, Uranus is Amazonite, Neptune is Synthetic Cat’s Eye, and Pluto is made from Heliotrope.
Also included is a polishing cloth and informational booklet with intriguing facts about all nine planets.
